Chapter Seven: Teddy

- He slid his hand over the hand railing; it was a pure, snow white, and it seemed to anchor The Dame to the whole frosted world around her. Teddy did that. And he would do so much more. He wanted to quit his other projects in the suburbs and stay here in The Dame with Junior and Manny and Josephine and Muffit and Porthos, and polish this old lady until she was ready for launch. She was more important than the cookie cutter cul-de-sacs. She was a legacy. –

In Chapter 7 of Mindframe, we once again visit Teddy. As he inspects his construction empire down in the valley (circa 1960), something forces his hand to go up and work on the Old Dame (circa 2011). Kathy tells him that Josephine had an attack of some sort, and he heads up the mountain to help her. As he prepares her for what is sure to be a long winter alone on the mountain, they also discuss plans that may have the hotel fully repaired, and soon.
